I think you've found your niche! I stumbled across this song because someone who favorited mine also marked yours. I have a soundtrack project for the book Les Miserales, and I may use this.

Great song... but...

I never heard a kazoo once in the song.
It was a great remix, one of the best I've heard of this song, but you should go to your nearest dollar store and buy a kazoo, 'cause there wasn't even one in there...

haha :) look I don't even know how a kazoo sounds. that melody instrument that played the melody through the song was in a soundfont called sharki, I suppose it was meant to be a kazoo. anyway it sounded pretty good. Thanks for the review!!

This is actually one of the best and most unique remixes i've heard of this song, And thanks for favoriting my song. Iwas wondering, how did you get these instruments? whenever I try to sample something like this, it comes out scratchy.

Actually, I used a program called Nerd Tracker 2. Mind you it's only capable of duplicating the base audio capabilities of the NES (two square wave channels with 4 duty cycles and 16 volume levels, a fixed triangle wave channel, a noise channel capable of generating 32 unique noises, and a PCM channel that I haven't learned to use yet). There are utilities out there that allow access to the expansion chip capabilities (for example, the MMC5 has adds two square channels, the Famicom Disk System chip adds wavetable support, and the VRC7 adds a Yamaha chip like the one found in the Sega Genesis) however, these programs require that you learn a programming language, and I don't really have time for that right now.
Unfortunately, Nerd Tracker 2 doesn't have an option to output as a wav file that I am aware of, so I had to use Window's Sound recorder and the stereo mix recording in the sound settings. I then used Audacity to convert the file to MP3, and now here we are. The sound file still came out a little scratchy, but passable. Mind you I did this all for free. All the utilities are free for download on the Internet, you just have to find them.
